Meet Kitty Jones
I am Kitty Jones, a professional theatre artist from NYC. I write, choreograph, produce, & perform all material for Kit's Interactive Theatre. Since 1987, I've been developing my original style of interactive theatre, casting audience members into each show. Combining my passion for historical theatre & love of performing arts, I created 16 different high-energy programs, bringing 4,000 years of history to life through improvisation, dance, music, & humor. My educational theatre experiences are perfect for school assemblies, family shows, & community events, offering a unique blend of entertainment & learning.
Bringing Entertainment to Life
I have performed in films, television, & on the professional theatre stage in New York. My training includes studying at the Webber Douglas Academy for Dramatic Art in London & Circle in the Square in New York. After earning my acting degree from Emerson College, I continued my studies at the New Actors Workshop in NYC with the late Mike Nichols, Paul Sills, & George Morrison. This background in performing arts informs my work in interactive theatre & educational theatre, creating engaging experiences for audiences of all ages in school assemblies, family shows, & community events.
My Work and Recognition
Roles include Hermia in A Midsummer Night's Dream, Dromio of Ephesus in A Comedy of Errors, & Mistress Ford in The Merry Wives of Windsor. I won Best Supporting Actress for my performances as Mayella Ewell in To Kill a Mockingbird & Hanna in A Shayna Maidel at the Delaware Theatre Company, showcasing my versatility in professional theatre & performing arts. These roles demonstrate my range across classical & contemporary educational theatre productions.
Notable Appearances
I have performed at prestigious venues across the country, including the professional theatre stages of the Kimmel Center for the Performing Arts in Philadelphia, The Adirondack Center for the Arts in Blue Mountain, NY, & the Randolph County Arts Center in Elkins, WV. My performing arts journey has also taken me to the Philadelphia Museum of Art & Longwood Gardens. Beyond the stage, I'm one of the original voices of League of Legends, showcasing my versatility in interactive theatre & voice acting. When not performing, I enjoy gardening, golfing, & practicing yoga—always staying creative & active.
